A new subject: Linguistics
It's the Fall semester, so it must be time for Dr. Hudak's Principles of Linguistics class. I've been looking forward to this, mostly because it is the only field of Anthropology about which I still know NOTHING.
We're beginning with phonetic consonants (for English), and we already have a quiz tomorrow after only three class periods.
There's not much to report yet, but it's good to be back on campus.

Hi! I'm in Dr. Hudak's linguistics course this semester, and I randomly happened to stumble onto your site (StumbleUpon rocks)...I started to navigate away from the page until some familiar stuff that caught my eye. Thought I'd drop in and wish you luck in the course :) Any updates on how you're doing?
Hey, I took Dr. Hudak's class a few years ago & actually really enjoyed it! His observations of TV linguistics cracked me up (he had a thing for CSI if I recall) I've actually been looking for old copies of his worksheets, for one of my teacher friends to possibly use with her English/Spanish immersion high school classes... any idea of where I could get copies?
I guess maybe I could e-mail Hudak himself...
I'm definitely enjoying Dr. Hudak's class, and he is an excellent teacher.
I would be a little reluctant to pass on his worksheets without his permission, so I would think the best thing to do is just ask him.
He insisted we return our take-home exams to him and NOT make copies...
